Rules

  • The hackathon is free to attend and will be conducted on a completely virtual platform.

  • This hackathon encourages teamwork and collaboration. Your team must consist of 3 to 6 members, with each member having registered on HackerEarth.

  • The hackathon will take place from 19th March 2021 through 21st March.

  • You are permitted to work on your projects for the duration of the hack only.

  • You will be provided 6 tracks for the hackathon. You must submit a project tackling a problem statement belonging to one of these tracks defined by the organisers.

  • You are expected to innovate and develop solutions on your own merit. Plagiarized ideas will be disqualified.

  • Your project must be developed entirely during the Hackathon. You may use open source libraries and other freely available services such as Google Maps, Facebook Connect, Twitter feeds etc.

  • By participating in the hackathon, you agree to the terms and conditions of HackerEarth.

Terms and Conditions

1) Participation in the Hackathon serves as the participant’s unconditional agreement to and acceptance of the Terms and Conditions.

2) All participants must have valid HackerEarth accounts and the team must consist of 3 to 6 participants to be eligible for awards and certificates. Participants must also fulfill the requirement of attending the entirety of the duration of the hack.

3) The judging panel with relevant expertise will be given complete responsibility and control over evaluation of the projects put forward by the participants. The decisions of the judges will be final and binding. In case of a tie, the judges may choose to further question the teams involved. It is the responsibility of the teams to be present for this stage of judgement.

4) Ascertainment of eligibility and compliance is at the discretion of the judging panel. The panel reserves rights to disqualify any project if it is deemed to be non compliant with terms and conditions of the hackathon

5) Participation and submission of a project entails claiming ownership of said project. The project must be the participant's original work and must not infringe the intellectual property rights of an external party.

6) Participants hereby agree not to instigate any action against the organizers, speakers, judges, teams or any other people associated with the event.

7) Participants are not entitled to any compensation from sponsors in the form of employment, joint ventures, or similar collaboration.

8) Prize money shall be split evenly among all members of the winning team(s).

9) Participants not abiding by the rules and regulations will be facing consequences that are entirely at the discretion of the organizing committee.

10) Organisers of the hackathon can modify the prize money anytime during the hackathon.

11) Owing to unexpected circumstances such as an excessive turnout, the organizing committee reserves the right to restrict the entry of teams.
